Funaments for 2008.

Members and Funament Attendees,
We have decided to change the schedule for the
Manasota Funament this year, so our cooks can have a day
off to fish too. :)
12th Annual Mana-Sota Mako Family Funament
April 18 and 19, 2008 / Friday and Saturday
Sarasota Outboard Club (SOC)
1604 Ken Thompson Parkway
City Island, Sarasota, FL
Cost: $100.00 for a boat/family of four. Includes:
- a capt bag of goodies
- awards
- up to 4 tickets for Captains Meeting on Fri & BBQ
on Sat
- up to 4 funament t-shirts
$25.00 each extra person includes 1 t-shirt w/meal
Friday, April 18th Fishing counts, Fish all day.
Registration starts at 5pm and Captains Meeting starts
at 6pm. Soda, Beer, Rum Punch & munchies (wings,
shrimp, veggie tray etc.) will be served.
Saturday, April 19th Fish until 5pm.
BBQ Dinner, Awards and Raffle start at 6pm.
Funament ends after the Awards BBQ.
Sunday we'll all hang out at the Cove for chill out
time.

Room rates: Marina View $89.00 per night plus taxes. Other
rooms $79.00 per night plus taxes.

with the "Mako Club".
Boats at this time are $1.25 per foot fee, with a room
rental. We are still in negotiations contact Jim if your

Please let us know ASAP if you are planning on attending
the Funament.We need to know your head count for food and
t-shirt sizes.
We especially need to know if Children under 13 years of
age are attending.

Room rate: $129.00 per night plus taxes. When making
your reservation please tell them you are with the
"Mako Club" and ask for your room(s) to be located in the
"Azalea Wing". We have ten (10) rooms reserved for the
Funament. When those ten rooms are reserved, I will
ask the Plantation Inn for another block of rooms.

Mako Group
We are going to scallop and fish all day Thursday and
Friday. Friday night we will have the
Funament Registration, Pizza Party, Captains Meeting
and Bingo Party from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm in the Palm Room
upstairs. Saturday morning we will also scallop and
fish. We will have our Raft Off, BBQ and Awards at the
sandbar on the Crystal River, like we do every year.
